Can I bring my own wine/beer? No, cafe Legend is fully licensed, and does not offer BYO
Where can I park? Parking is available in adjacent streets, and under the tea trees next to the Boathouse Resort. It is kindly requested of diners not to park inside the Resort area as this parking is reserved for motel residents Are there vegetarian dishes on the menu? Yes, there are a few vegetarian options to choose from such as Samosas, Masala Kulcha, Penne Pasta and Vegetable Khorma
Are large groups welcome? Yes, of course! Usually groups larger than 14 people need to be divided into multiple tables for safety reasons and to allow efficient service by kitchen and floorstaff
Should we make a booking? Being in a seasonal resort area, bookings over the month of January are essential - the earlier a booking is made, the better. Saturday nights tend to fill up quickly throughout the year, so booking ahead is recommended. We do our best to accommodate as many guests as possible
Are children welcome? Certainly! Although there isn't a "kid's menu" we encourage all our guests to be adventurous! Teriyaki Chicken and Penne Pasta are usually the safest options
Is the restaurant open for lunch?
We are not open for lunch on a regular basis, however arrangements can be made for functions with prior notice. Please call us to discuss lunch or afternoon events. Although not open for meals service, the restaurant is open for enquiries and deliveries during operating days (Wednesday to Monday)
Do you serve food outside?
Under normal circumstances we do not serve food in our outdoor areas for a number of reasons. Lost effectiveness of air conditioning, permeation of cigarette smoke, and general diner discomfort is caused by open/frequently opening doors. Especially in the summer months open doors allow creepy crawlies to enter the restaurant! (not to mention your food/wine whilst sitting outside!)
Is this Cafe Legend from Hawthorn? Yes, and in fact much of the menu is the same too! Formerly occupying a grand Victorian double-storey building in Burwood Road in Hawthorn, cafe Legend has continued its tradition of great food and service in the Southern Mornington Peninsula
